Always a musical and visual treat, Wurlitza return to Landulph with a new silent film and a live musical accompaniment from the talented musicians who make up the Wurlitza group. Sunrise, ranked by many as the greatest silent film ever made and high on the all time list of great movies. tells to story of a married farmer who falls for a woman from the city, who tries to convince him to murder his wife in order to be with her. It uses an amazing array of cinematic touches with a plot that keeps the audience transfixed. The live musical accompaniment will be both familiar and unfamiliar, from Bach and Villa Lobas to Talking Heads, Echo and the Bunnymen, Madness and the Vapors. Likely to be a sell out, this will be a great experience for all ages.
